When I first started singing in 2022, I was just goofing around on YouTube with my kids—completely unintentional. I’ve always loved writing music, stories, and poems; it’s been my passion my entire life. In school, I was always great at it. Music was my world—listening to every genre, staying glued to the radio day and night, buying every new CD, and going to every concert I could find.

My sister was a singer, but I never even thought about trying to sing myself. I thought, "No way will people take me seriously." That all changed when I wrote my first songs—*Bring It On* and *Peace and Harmony*. The response blew me away. I was getting so many views, and one video hit 16,000 views overnight.

Looking back at that first song now, I cringe. It’s full of auto-tune, bad notes, and rough moments I can't even listen to anymore. But I keep it there as a reminder of how far I’ve come in such a short time, all on my own. No help, no big studio—just my determination.

I started going to the library’s free music studio weekly, took online lessons, and enrolled in courses to improve my breathing, lyrics, and production skills. I even took a music production course—every step of the way, transforming myself. My confidence grew, auto-tune became unnecessary, and I started performing live. I even do karaoke now, something I was terrified to try before.

My message to you: believe in yourself. Don’t ignore the negative comments—use them to get better and wiser. Prove to the world, and most importantly to yourself, that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Keep pushing, keep creating, and never give up.
